Suzanne Corcoran has commenced as Chief Executive in Peamount Healthcare replacing Robin Mullan who retired early in 2016.
Former Operations Manager for the Surgical, Anaesthetia and Critical Care Directorate at St. James’s Hospital, Suzanne brings a wealth of public and private sector healthcare experience to Peamount having held various senior positions in St. James’s Hospital, Irish Blood Transfusion Board and Mount Carmel Private Hospital over the past 7 years.
Peamount Healthcare are currently developing a 5 year Strategy the main focus of which is to develop rehabilitation services taking account of the current demand on acute and non-acute services and the role the hospital can play in alleviating pressure from the health system in years to come.
Ms. Corcoran joins the organisation at an exciting time as Peamount embarks upon the first phase of this development. Construction will commence later this year on a new 100 bed unit which will allow for an upgrade of services and the first expansion of the rehabilitation unit. It is expected the new unit will open for referrals in early 2019.
