Community Day Care
The Community Day Care in the Health and Wellness Centre offers older people meaningful therapeutic activities with a person-centred focus. The service is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 3.00pm. The service is based on a social model and the referral process is led by the multidisciplinary team, linking with the local public health nurses, general practitioners, the critical care team in TUH and the RANP/CRISP program. The Day Service provides a social environment for people who can be isolated and housebound but want to age in place by focusing on their wellbeing and preventing deterioriation with health supports from public health. People enjoy a fun activity day program with a focus on health and wellbeing.
Peamount Healthcare also provides weekly Meals on Wheels, to an average of 420 people living alone in the local communities of Rathcoole, Lucan, Newcastle and Clondalkin.
