Senior Speech & Language Therapist

Specified Purpose Contract. Full-Time position (37 hours)
A panel may be formed to fill possible future vacancies

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

  • Registered as a Speech and Language Therapist by the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU
  • 3 years relevant post qualification experience.
  • Competent in working with dysphagia.
  • Experience of age-related caseloads.
  • Experience of adult acquired neuro-disability caseloads.
  • Ability to work both independently, on own initiative, and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to identify and implement service developments and improvements.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience supervising Staff Grade and/or student SLTs.

Desirable:

  • VFSS qualification or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge/experience of role of SLT in respiratory disease.
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual disability

Basic Grade Physiotherapist

Permanent Full-Time
37 hour Monday to Friday. Weekend cover is approximately 1 in 7.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

All candidates should hold a recognized qualification in Physiotherapy and must possess the following prior to the closing date of receipt of application:
  • Statutory Registration with CORU
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with patients and carers in a patient centered framework
  • Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
