Basic Grade Pharmacy Technician

Specified Purpose Contract

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

  • Possess a Higher Certificate in Science (Pharmacy Technician), Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy Technician), NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, see job specifications) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Desirable:

  • Previous hospital experience
  • Knowledge of the extended Pharmacy Technician role within Ireland

Clinical Nurse Specialist (Behaviour Management)

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

  • Be registered in the Intellectual Disability Division of the Register of Nurses/ RGN or RPN kept by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be eligible to be registered. AND
  • Have at least 5 years post registration experience in the division of the register in which the applicant is currently practising; AND
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in the specialist area of working with people who display Challenging Behaviour. AND
  • Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice. AND
  • Must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. AND
  • From the 1st September 2010, must have a Level 8 (or higher) post registration Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award relevant to the specialist area of Behaviour Support, prior to application*.

Desirable:

  • Promotion of evidence-based decision making; evidence-based clinical knowledge in making decisions regarding patient / client care.
  • Resilience and composure.
