The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

  • Candidates must be registered in the Relevant Division of the Register of Nurses kept by The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered
  • Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in gerontology/rehab
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing in gerontology
  • Evidence of consistent updating of clinical skills and knowledge

Desirable:

  • Previous management experience and a recognized Qualification in management
  • Competent and confident IT skills – Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail
  • Demonstrable Coaching & Development skills within clinical practice

Staff Nurse (Intellectual Disability and General Services)

Peamount Healthcare is currently recruiting for Full Time and Part-Time RNID Nurses for our Intellectual Disability services and Registered General Nurses for our campus in Peamount. From interviews a panel of nurses will be also put in place for future vacancies.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

Be registered in RNID /or the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 12 months experience post registration

Desirable:

  • Post Graduate qualification in any of the above areas
  • Knowledge of Irish Healthcare
  • Knowledge of HIQA/Safer better healthcare standards

Assistant Director of Nursing – Intellectual Disability Services

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

(i) Are registered, or are eligible for registration, in the Intellectual Disability Division and/or the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann). And (ii) Have 7 years post registration intellectual disability and/or general nursing experience and 5 years nursing management experience. And (iii) Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, which verifies that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher standard in a health care or management related area And Candidates must possess the requisite clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
