Permanent Full-Time Healthcare Assistant

Permanent Full-Time positions currently available across our units. This is a 39 hour per week contract. Positions are also available on our Relief Panel (Relief Panel hours are subject to requirement and availability of the service).

Essential Criteria:

  • Leaving Certificate Standard of Education or equivalent
  • FETAC Level 5 Certificate in relevant discipline
  • Minimum two years experience working as a Healthcare Assistant
  • Fluent in English written and verbal
  • Knowledge of HIQA/Safer better healthcare standards
  • Full Drivers License

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working within an Irish Healthcare Facility
  • Experience working within an intellectual disability environment
  • Experience of working within the Peamount Healthcare organization

SENIOR SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST – ADULT INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SERVICE
Permanent Full-Time position (37 hours)
A panel may be formed to fill future vacancies

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
Essential:

  • CORU registered.
  • Three years relevant post qualification experience.
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual disability.
  • An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in dysphagia and at least 6 months experience working in this area.
  • An ability to identify and implement service developments and improvements.
  • An ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • The requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Desirable:

  • VFSS qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with adults with acquired brain injury or progressive neurological illness.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered in the Relevant Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (RGN)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 12 months experience post registration

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post Graduate qualification in any of the above areas
  • Knowledge of the Irish Healthcare
  • Knowledge of HIQA/Safer better healthcare standards
